Cold debrief
Definition
A cold debrief is a detailed analysis of a session, done afterwards from its recording. It goes back over the exchange moment by moment, verbal and non-verbal, to understand what made the difference.
Also called
recording analysis, delayed debrief
What it adds
With hindsight, key moments stand out: the question that unlocked the situation, the objection that was poorly handled, the silence that went on too long. Each one can be replayed and compared with another attempt.
Who it is for
For learners who want to improve, and for trainers preparing a group session or one-to-one coaching.
With Face Up
The recording analysis shows timestamped strong and weak moments and the posture, gaze, voice and gesture dimensions, with a replay of the session.
